prebuilt Templateset, -Templatepackage ? How to get and install them ?

What are prebuilt Template sets or packages ?

A template package is an export of a site skeleton which can be installed automatically. It contains the templatefiles (Site,Article,Weblog,Module) the associated Stylesheet(s) and alle the images of the Layout that were added trough the Falt4 Media Database.

WARNING! Templatepackages should only be used when you want a skeleton of a prebuilt site. They will be set to default instantly (nothing is lost, but the website switch to this design, can be reverted trough the templates administration by setting the prefered templates to default).

 

Where can i get these Templatesets or packages ?

Currently all Templatepackages are hosted on sourceforge , but we will add a template overview on falt4.org over time with screenshots and previews.

 

Ok I downloaded the templateset that i want, but what now ?

Login to your Falt4 administration area and follow these basic steps.

Locate the import templateset option in the Falt4 administration
Step 1: Click on the tab named "Administration"

Step 2: Select Import Template Package

 

choose the file to be imported

Step 3: Click Browse and select the package file you previously downloaded. Do not extract the .tar file, upload the complete archive.


choose the navigation group

Step 4: You have to select the navigation groups from your local installation to replace the probably wrong group number(s) that are saved in the template. If you dont know about navigation groups you should consider reading our user documentation (or just try selecting some groups and look at the result to get the hang on it)

Step5: Additional information on what is used by this template package.

Important: To get your new templateset working correctly you have to set the navigation group(s) you selected in step4 to the Navigation Type stated here (eg. dropdownnavigation)

Everything should no be set up correctly and you can have a look at your new frontpage.
